Gunjur is a vibrant fishing town on the southern coast of The Gambia. The fishing industry is central to the community and local life here, with traditional wooden pirogues launched at sunrise into the sea, and fish brought in by hand to women who weigh and sell the catch, and men who work in the smokehouses.
